Build Rules? We don't Need no Steenkin' Build Rules

Just to be fully transparent, this is a complaint about enforcement of the currently published Build Rules. Specifically:

Land Claim Abuse on Official Servers

I do weekish long playthroughs on servers, so while I marvel at the lack of enforcement of the stated rules, normally I ignore it.

Occasionally, it is so egregious, that I submit a report. It takes a massive violation to trigger this. Think, someone walling in the area between Sepermaru and the Unnamed City, then placing single foundations all around the empty space to prevent anyone from building.

So I reported, waited, got a response it was under review, got a response it was resolved, instructed to wait 48 hours to confirm action, and, here’s the surprise, nothing was done.

“But was it really THAT bad?”

Let’s review.

Yeah, this certainly makes a bit of a joke of them posting updated rules for official servers if they’re not going to actually enforce them.

(Another good reason to not play on official servers…)

When I read the description I knew it was that base on 1550. I had a base on the cliff between that monstrosity and the silver mine for a while but gave it up due to the lag.

There’s one on 1501 just above Sep that’s maybe not quite as big but it’s close if not and much more dense and heavily decorated. You’d love it…

As a bonus the same guy is building a similar massive base on Siptah as well.

There’s plenty more that I’ve seen in the past but not recently enough to name them as they could be gone by now.
