Buyout Extension Until March 19

Wonder how the shareholders have been responding. Interesting times indeed.

Interesting indeed. Curious how theres mention of holders that have already accepted. Must not be the majority.

I will admit to a very laymans understanding of contract jargin and stock value flux. Did Funcoms stock raise since the initial offer? Is that why theres a clause about Tencent declaring it will not renegotiate or raise the per stock offer?

Probably just has to do with raising the capital needed for the buy given the stock market struggles

Got it. Tencents got Corona virus.

Gallows humor aside that makes sense. Probably have some sizeable concerns on their hands.

With my equally layman’s understanding on this jargon (I did study law and legal translation, but I’m no expert in corporate stuff), as far as I understand Tencent is offering 17 Norwegian crowns per share and won’t go over that. Funcom’s stock is now at 15.81 NOK, and has been bouncing up and down a bit over the last few days. It reached 16.90 when Tencent made that announcement, but dropped a bit after that. So it seems that they were indeed preparing for the market price to rise above what they were offering.

In a more recent update, it seems that with those shareholders who have accepted the offer, Tencent will hold over 93 % of Funcom’s shares. If I understood correctly, they were aiming for 90 % or more in order to make the deal, so it seems it’s happening.

So what happens then, do we get a forced recompensation for our shares?

I guess you can keep them but you have no say in anything. We will see soon enough.

Oh boy. J.p Morgan is involved…

Crude joke. I don’t want to get into that but actually the chinese companies are doing far better over this than DAX and Dow Jones. Same with the ability to control SARS-CoV-2 spread. Its time to debunk the legend that China is ill prepared for modern times due to their communist leaders.

Who ever said that?

Guess i missed my own punch line.

My excitement over JP Morgan comes from the constant consumer friendly choices ive experienced anecdotally.

Although im not a CCP boot licker, Id accept that this was simply a miss understanding and that this wasnt some sort of veiled attempt about being politically correct about the Chinese. Cause thats kinda the vibe I got.

How about we keep politics out of this? Especially while we’re all trying to get through a situation that makes statements like yours even more inflammatory than usual.
