You seem to know a lot about these things. So please tell us what sort of database system Conan Exiles uses, and what sort of a process it would be to extract data only on thralls on 700+ servers from a three-day-old backup, and insert that into 700+ live servers without overwriting the current thralls (because obviously some people have recruited new followers in the meantime and wouldn’t want to lose them) without causing conflicts with the current database (such as several objects coexisting in the exact same coordinates).
It’s not only thralls, either. It’s each individual thrall, the hexadecimal string that determines their appearance, their level and experience, their inventory and equipped items, and the state of disrepair of said equipment. How easy would it be to pull all that data out of the server data and re-insert it into another server database without messing up anything?
Because, respectfully, I don’t think you have the necessary answers to make the assessment whether your “nuanced” solution is in any way feasible or realistic.
