Does not matter but make sure they have set mask or sandstorm mask. I have heard there is still issues getting thralls to Argo sometimes tho.
Sadly this is a horrible tactic. I easily raided a base that had thralls doing this. The entire base base was filled with gas. So all I did was throw a fire orb and ignite it all. Good night thralls . Sleep well.

I’m on a PVE server, so thankfully I only have to worry about Skeletons. And AFAIK, the have not yet mastered fire. 
Same thing happened to me for the first time last week. Scorpions destroyed a section of our base on 4th of July. We are on often and never had this happen.
We have spikes all around the base except in the spot where they broke through the outter wall foundation. Thrall guards are missing so I assume they tried to help. Lost half a black ice tower and 3 thralls and 1/4th the east wall.
Log shows only scorpions breaking things.
My purge meter was down while I repaired but at full again. My complaint is why now am I a target? Maybe because i am one of the last that still log into 3509.
I was online a few days ago when I actually got the message that a spider army was attacking my base. First time I’ve ever seen that.
I think the purge is just a little wonky though… After killed all of the spiders, the purge meter never went down. A little while later it went down by maybe 10%, so nearly still full. Not sure what you need to do to lower the purge bar, I thought killing the purge would do it.
That being said, one of my legendary fighters was wrecking those stupid ■■■ spiders. lol.
