I think we have two very different ideas of what is revealing. If I can see exposed vital organs, I would consider that revealing. Such as Pictish Warchief, which is almost entirely open-torso on male characters.
Let me tell you something here my little friend! This is an adult childish conversation! Because it is childish, doesn’t make the adults, less adults! Coming to someones topic and telling him to shut up doesn’t make you adult, but more child that you already are! I was sure that you are not 18 now you just confirm it! Please delete this message, so I can delete mine too, thank you!

I counted that as revealing. I also counted anything that was full coverage on one gender but revealing on the other to be revealing. I wasn’t kidding when I said there was far more options for body coverage than not.
I’m not opposed to more options for full coverings of realistic armor, especially considering we don’t have all the Hyborian Age cultures represented yet. But there is quite a few depictions of not full coverings not quite represented also.

Cloth isn’t protective.
I think you’re mixing up prudent and practical. I’m asking for realistic armor.

Let’s keep it civil. Jimbo has the right to want play a fully armored knight/samarai/or other equivalent.

The majority of existing light and medium armors look quite realistic for light and medium armors.
What you want is more heavy and fully covered armors.
Majority of DLC heavy armors provide fully or almost covered options.
Bazaar Aesir set also fully covers the body. so there’s already quite a lot of options available.

Yes, he does.
But placing the “unrealistic” tag on every piece of gear simply because it shows a bit of skin here and there doesn’t vibe with me.

I could nitpick that per set, but the concept of light and medium armor is a purely game classification anyways.
Heavy armor should be full.
Disagree. Not enough. Heavy is supposed to be the pinnacle of protection. There are many bad sets that don’t fit that. Pictish Warchief, Hyberborean Slaver, Theurgical Aegis, Black Dragon, Argossean Phalanx, Guardian, and many others. These are costumes, not armor.
Your vibe wants to have it’s liver punctured because you didn’t put any armor over it. Showing off “a bit of skin” defeats the whole point of heavy armor.

No. It’s my thread, and my opinion. Go make your own thread if you have a valid point. Otherwise, there’s other threads for you to go troll.

Damn, guess we gotta invent a time-travel machine and tell Roman’s and Greece soldiers that their armor is unrealistic.
I’m sure if you ask long enough Funcom will drop another Redeemed Silent Legion set into Bazaar.
Because that’s what you want.

None of these would be worn in a combat setting, but I wouldn’t be opposed to an implementation for dancer thralls. The emphasis of my thread however is on armor, and spamming disagreement doesn’t change that.

Well generally they didn’t have exposed torsos, despite what hollywood made you think of them. The hyborian age also has more advanced armor than them, as cited in various quotes if you’d bother reading before replying.
I wouldn’t mind, but I’d rather see other Hyborian cultures’ armors. Kothic knights, Nemedian Adventurers, those kinds.

As a woman, I like the armors we have, but playing with my female character there is not enough gowns or feminine clothes in general. The skimpy dancer outfits are not my taste, but I do not get angry at people for asking for more. I also do not get upset about people asking for more realistic armor that are battle accurate. I simply would love to have more dresses for when my character is doing household activities and not running around fighting. Maybe my attempt at humor was interpreted as spamming disagreements, but it was not my intention.

Apologies, I’m a little bit defensive given people like Mkishtarkorra having a violent reaction to the mere idea.
This thread was never about removing anything, or covering up more. It was simply about getting more realistic armor, based on the quality of armor seen in the books.

Dude, what?
All I did was say “hey, maybe heavy armor should actually be heavily armored” and now I’m being bombarded with personal insults. Whatever man, you do you.

Jesus christ. @Cattibria can we just lock the thread? I can tell my opinion is highly unwanted. I’ll take my leave.
This outfit is not for criticism here! Many people from different countries all the religions and customs are welcome here! Somebody may be offended with this photo, please be more careful and respectful, I beg you fellow exile!
Jimbo is trying to make a point that it’s correct! Take for example the pict heavy armor and the derceto. I remember giving to a new player both sets and invite him to unnamed city.
Back then we had flawless sets and the guardian flawless set was only cold resistance (the almost nude set) so he understood that this armor is for hot places, he was new, he didn’t knew the game. Check the medium sets on many sets and you will see that they cover more from heavy sets! Only silent legion, God breaker, champion, and dragonbone are something close to heavy armor looking. All the other sets have many revealing parts that’s has nothing to do with heavy armor in reality!
