I currently play pve on an exiled lands server and I am appalled at how difficult it is to actually trigger a purge.
There are days where ill play for hours on end only to log in the next day and ALL of the purge progress is evaporated.
Having lengthy gaps between purges might be fine on pvp servers where most of the action is going to be shared between npcs and other players.
but in pve the npc need to hard carry the brunt of the threat… and as of right now the current purge system just doesn’t. its frankly a joke.
This doesn’t help that it actually is HARDER to fill a purge meter in pve because we can only kill players with that pvp flag system ( good luck getting people to do that with you on pve).
So its a bit strange that both pve and pvp servers would use the same purge pool ofr 42000.
Further more It is my understanding that we can actually just spawn purges in the isle of siptah.
If this is the case … is it not a bit strange that such an obviously important pve feature is not ported back to the exiled lands? not even a method to prevent purge decay? Like seriously exiled lands would feel a hell of alot less crap to me if my purge progress was not erased on a daily basis.
Please. give us the choice. its all i am asking.
Otherwise I think my entire clan is going to get bored waiting for a purge that seemingly is never coming. This is killing motivation.
(edit) I am very aware the methods you can do to improve your progress every 15 minutes. its not even close to enough.
I like the thrill of surviving. And to have that thrill I need a threat of death. The giants in dont starve , the 7 day hord in 7d2d. The purge should feel like a threat you are preparing for. but it is so difficult to spawn that if you aren’t literally a no lifer or a clan with people on at all hours it is never actually a threat… that feels sad. And the worst part is that the world is painfully static without a purge.
