# Can we replace TestLive with Live without a wipe?

Just like it says,… can we replace the test live server software with the standarad release? How does that work?

I have only one experience here but changing over my G-Portal server caused it to wipe prior to installing the update.

Luckily it had not been made public prior to that so no harm done.

FUNCOM… You said we should come here for our questions, concerns and answers… but… well… and I know you are busy, but if you are going to request we all come here for “official” forum activity, you need to devote someone knowledgeable, or that has access to answer the questions et al…

i think it depends on your server i have a dedicated server and i did update testlive to live just copy your database and put it back after the update
