Where have I posted misinformation? :man_shrugging:

So you’re confirming that you don’t actually believe this happened… See? this is precisely why I was under the impression that the only reason you’re replying to this is because you saw my name and wanted to troll around :man_shrugging: If that is not the case, then I’m sorry, but it sure as hell looks that way from here…

I don’t call this confirmed yet, I am almost certain that Sarealac above is simply mistaken, which can happen quite easily.

Understand that the conan devkit is essentially the source code of the game… Sure, it’s incomplete and doesn’t have the base C++ code since the game is obviously not open-source, but pretty much all of the final features are built upon those in blueprints which is there.

Now some things are deliberately stripped out (like the basegame event system), which would make its absence “plausible”, but even those missing pieces have breadcrumbs and references scattered all around… The stuff that OP is talking about have none…

And sometimes we can even see part of the “future” things in development… for example I can tell you that tomorrow on the stream they will most likely announce barkeepers and patrons as new follower types so players can set up their own tavern.
These follower types were added months ago at the start of Age of War and while we wouldn’t know for sure when they would debut, we can see them evolving… and they did release a teaser with a barkeeper, so it’s most likely going to be now.

But there’s nothing even remotely related to the gods whispering players and telling them to fetch 10 weapons so that they can beat up Set and Zath who decided to team up :stuck_out_tongue: As cool as that sounds…

Plus, while I am just one person and can miss things, OP claims vanilla gameplay mechanics that they’re actually playing on the LIVE version of the game, they’re not even talking about hidden info in a devkit… so there’s no way someone else wouldn’t have noticed that.

I am absolutely not shocked in disbelief… I am calmly stating that most likely there has been some error in communication.
While I agree that this system sounds cool and people would probably like it, I think something totally different happened here.

There are several possibilities… the least likely one is that this is actually a thing in the LIVE game and somehow a SINGLE user is able to experience them, yet nobody else even heard of them…

The other more likely possibilities are that:

1: Sarealac relayed this to one of the developers, who then completely misunderstood the context as they’re most likely busy so they don’t read every single post in the thread…

They saw that the thread is talking about event strings… and they immediately thought about the basegame event system and how the game and the Funcom servers communicate with each-other to toggle these on and off and thought that players are asking to expose these so that they can toggle individual events on / off or somehow intercept them etc. (which is also what I thought this is about if you go back and read my first post in this thread)
So they gave a corresponding response that these are not meant for players and they won’t be exposed - which happens to be a completely accurate response in that misunderstood context.

2: The other possibility is that they actually made SOME of this internally… since their internal build is several updates ahead and they already know what’s going to be in the next age and the one after that…
So it could be that they did build something similar… and somehow thought that maybe some of this made it to the live build and this player was datamining it or something and got ahold of information from future updates :man_shrugging:
According to their own admission a lot of the developers actually don’t really know what’s in the current live game since they have various internal builds which are all ahead so it can get understandably confusing to keep track of what’s in which build version.

There’s obviously still the chance that I’m wrong and this is somehow hidden in the live game, in which case I wonder why it’s only available to one player, but hey at least we would have something new and cool in the game… but I highly doubt it… so this is not “shock and disbelief”, but more like assuming human error in communication.

As far as I’m concerned this is not “confirmed” in any way until either @den shows up here and says this is a thing AFTER reading the full thread or at least @Sarealac goes back to investigate in light of the new replies and context we gave them and then comes abck again to double-confirm… - in which case we can ask why is this only working for that one player  I’m sure a lot of other players would like whispers and quests from Mitra too.
