Cannot sprint (new character unencumbered) using keyboard or controller (Siege Boulders in inventory)

I did not expect a new character to have siege boulders place in inventory at the start of the game causing the character to be over-encumbered.

Bug Description:

New Character cannot sprint using controller or keyboard

Bug Reproduction:

Create a character and try to sprint using left shift or toggle sprint (L) pressing down

Are you emote laying down in your bed then logging off?

Sorry. I should have updated this. It turns out that a Funcom added a bunch of siege boulders to the new character inventory. I am so used to nothing being in the inventory that i did not check it. The options were dropped the items or slow walk until I could build a box to store the items. It was a long, painful walk out of the starting area.

I’ve made 3 new characters since the latest hotfix and I have not had siege boulders in my inventory on spawn.

You show you’re playing on single player, is it possible you admin spawned them?

I ran into this too—new character couldn’t sprint even though encumbrance was fine. Turns out the Siege Boulders were the issue. Once I dropped them, sprinting worked again. It feels like a bug tied to certain item flags, not weight. Hopefully the devs patch it soon, but for now, avoid carrying boulders right after character creation.
