No mods
After the last major patch the game began sometimes fail to load. After loading the menu it freezes and crashes with this message:
At first it would happen 5-6 times and then work properly. However, today I just can’t pull through. I tried before and after the latest “Hotfix”. 40+ tries, same result. I already tried to verify integrity of files and already reinstalled the game. Nothing helps
Before anyone tells him “blabla do you have mods installed blabla”
Stop it! It is a game engine problem with those errors. Same for corrupted pak files. The game isn’t loading original game data correctly (dungeons for examples).
How do I know that it is NOT a mod issue? Because the error CONSISTENTLY appears in vanilla game, too. And that is not the worst thing. The worst about this is the absolutely stupidity of randomness. One day it works fine for hours, the next day, without ANY changing, it crashes, crashes, crashes, and (guess what?) CRASHES.
Me, at least, is sick about this constant pak file errors. You get no idea which pak file is corrupted, so you can fix it. And no, I will not constantly reinstall, verify installation and so on.
I can’t say this often enough:
It is a game engine problem, NOT Mods and NOT any system you are running.
And for god sake: Stop your Updates. Test it at least before you let getting this live.

This is an ongoing issue and has been for years now.
I really don’t understand why this is not getting attention either.
I am here looking for answers because it literally just happened to me.
I played for hours yesterday, did nothing but click “Exit game” and today, even after verifying and restarting everything, I cannot log into the server I am playing on past a Pak file error.
Verifying does not work, It finds no corrupted files or problems.
It does not work.
This is not the first thread I spoke up about this on this topic.
No one from Funcom is looking into this OLD problem that is still here.
I really don’t think you guys don’t care about this, I think you guys don’t know about it.
I am pretty sure if you guys knew about this you would fix it.
FUNCOM, will you please read this and fix the problem please???
At the very least can you update the game and get rid of this error method and do an actual bug report for it so you might find out what the problem is?
Even if you toss out all the reports that have mods included, I’m sure you will have a lot of data as I know this is happening to so many players.
I even joke that reinstalling the game is part of normal gameplay now.
Is there data that shows how often someone verifies the file integrity?

A long long time ago I tried to come back to this game and got hit with Conan having issues recognizing the steam servers, after a while I figured issues would be solved but nope now the new launcher implemented crashes when I go to load up Conan.
All troubleshooting methods have failed and I’ve looked at a handful of them plus done some not mentioned that other games have mentioned before and I’m left wondering why I spent so much cash on this game when I got to play it for like a month maybe probably years ago at this point, this time around I was even considering buying Siptah cause it looked amazing to me.
Glad I didn’t but upset that I can’t. I’m sure everyone is working hard but man it kind of seems like you got a Content over Quality thing going on and it should be the other way around in my opinion. There are lots of people having this issue and it seems to be the same things being repeated but it’s of no real value for a good chunk of us, an actual fix needs implemented i’d dump tons of money into you guys if I could actually play and play anytime.
Dica: Antes de tudo ou de entrar no jogo primeiro entre na steam e confira se a STEAM está ON-LINE somente depois clique no laucher da funcom ou para iniciar o jogo
Geralmente essa tela de erro acontece quando sua STEAM está OFF-LINE se não estiver OFF verifique e atualize os drivers da GPU
OBS: Se atualizou algo que pode ser revertido como a GPU tente fazer e instalar uma versão anterior, lembrando que recentemente um driver xxx.18 com final 18 da nvidia estava com BUG que trava a GPU por temperatura
Se esta mesma tela de erro acontece mas seu jogo ainda continua rodando ou funcionando, tente reduzir os gráficos deixando no modo janela depois reinicie o jogo. Se funcionar volte com as configurações que estava usando antes
Confira se seu microsoft net framework está atualizado dentro de painel de controle clique com botão direito escolhendo a opção reparar ou modificar.
Atulize e deixe seu windows com a verão mais recente as dicas abaixo serve para qualquer jogo.
