Hello everyone and thank you for pointing this out.
Passed this information over to the rest of the team for further investigation.

You know what would be nice? Like a test server for Conan. Maybe with it’s own launcher. One where people could test these things out before they went out to the public, fail, and erode away any more player confidence.
Just a thought.

that would be great but isnt it a 1 minute job for the defs to try it for theirselfs when it is only one little item?

God, we can’t even have the simple things. sigh, at this point for me its basically a marriage to this game cause i’ve been playing for so long “for better or worse” but if friends or family ask about it i strongly steer them away , i work at a video game store as well (a local mom and pop, not a major chain) and when customers ask me about Conan i do not recommend it at all (we still have launch copies of it sitting on the PS4 and Xbox One shelf lol). All we can do is sit and wait and hope one day it gets better i guess.

Damn, send a ps4 one my way. I could use that sword.
Anyway, I’m not entirely surprised about this rocknose drop. It was accidentally released early for the first one, but then pulled. Kinda makes me wonder if there was something wrong with it to start.
Got to where we can practically count on this from funcom.
Dune has me terrified. I mean when it flops and goes under will it take Conan with it?

It would definatly be a huge hit, especially if they are trying to time it with the Dune sequel which will be in theaters soon. Because it’ll be a bunch of Dune fans first introduction to Funcom, they won’t know anything about what’s been happening with Conan or that their Dune game is just Conan with a cosmetic skin on it, they’ll just be thinking “Dune game cool! I just saw the new movie and i wanna play that!”

Not the same dev team, not the same engine, not even the same genre.
There are reasons why there are many problems in Conan that stem from its origins, and possibly other reasons that we are not privy to.
And there is also the fact that every game ever, yes, even that one you thought was some sort of unicorn exception, has bugs. Conan having bugs is not special and they fix ten times more bugs then they add, but everyone stops thinking about and conveniently forgets them when they are fixed.
Oh you know I’ll argue that. My opinion they only manage to fix half the issues with an update; chapter, before the next drops and adds more bugs to fix. This unplaceable rocknose is just the latest, but it seem apx 1 in 5 pieces of new content has an issue.

Go back to any update and read through the patchnotes. Count up how many bugs they fixed. Count up how many new bugs were introduced with that patch. Divide fixes by new bugs. You are not going to get a number below 10.
If that was true, there should be no bugs.
Fixing 10x more bugs then added.

When a game is initially made, it is more bugs than it is content.
The longer the game exists, the more bugs are discovered that were likely always there.
A game will never fix all bugs.
The 10 times was probably an exaggeration, but even if they fix double the bugs they introduce(d), it really does not seem that way, in fact as @DeaconElie said, quite the opposite.
I always read through the patchnotes, and they fix a lot of stuff, that’s obvious. But there are always new bugs, and old, still not fixed bugs, that add up. And not to mention bad decisions, bad changes (temerature values are pointless in 90% of the armors now, warpaints not working, first step of the pet balance is a huge nerf to an already supoptimal follower class, no weapon bonuses since attribute redesign, no point of shield damage at all since… forever, removing the crit effect from the doom hammer, bleed nerf so a complete weapon family lost its uniqueness, straight up removing things instead of balancing, just to name a few).
I agree, I wouldn’t say the game is the buggeist game of all times (looking at you Akella
), but there are a LOT of bad design in the game besides of the bugs. And to your last comment: if there are more bugs than content in a game at release, it just means, the game is “unfinished”, not yet ready to be released.
I know it is not entirely the devs’ fault, it is the “upper class” and management 'n sh|t who says “push the new content, it does not matter how many bugs they introduce, how unbalanced they are, release them, before the tight deadlines. Bugfixes/balance does not bring that much money to us as new stuff does”.
It’s the game industry now.
Profitmaximalization is the only goal, not the satisfacton of customers, or the quality of the product. It’s not surprising now, but it’s very bad still. Quantity over qualty as I experience (and not only with this game, and not only the game industry).
