My roomate and I recently purchased Conan Exiles on Steam. I bought a Gportal server so we could play together. We can both see my server on the list when we log in but when we enter the game we can’t see each other. We don’t even see each other on the map. Is the server instanced for some reason? Why can’t we play together?

If you are both logged into the same server, then you are playing on the same map, it is not instanced. The starting areas look a lot alike, so you probably just started in different areas. Type in global chat to confirm, and then meet up at the same grid square (it’s possible that one of you started in F2 while the other is in H2, or something similar). You will not be able to see each other on the map until you are in the same clan together, and you can’t invite someone into your clan until you meet up in game.
