Change 'The Dregs' Water Mechanic until lag is resolved

On Official, it’s literally a 50/50 chance of getting out of the water; game keeps warping me back UNDER THE WATER.

Change the final valve mechanic. I cannot “hit” it because the lag makes the arrow disappear on Powershots. I see the ‘sound barrier effect’ and then it just disappears. And that one spot on the other side is a PITA to get up on to (no climb area).

…Heck half the time I use a bow the arrow “fires” (consumes an arrow) but doesn’t actually ‘fire’ (no impact).

Note: None of this is an issue when the server has less than 10 people on it.

WoW put in Captain Placeholder as a temporary bandaid, because their boats didn’t work. I would suggest you also do a temporary bandaid until the lag is resolved.

PS: Yes, another rant-based Feedback because I’m annoyed.

I freshly joined a PvP server and tried to do the spider naked in the dregs on an official server which had 24 players online. I wanted to get the free katana legendary.

First time I managed to kill it but got many out of sync hits it was insane. No katana drop though. Second time I got bullied by the lags. Really insane and unfair lol.

Fix server performance…

Is it server performance or an unidentified issue in the code (or both?) Because there can be a lot of people on and I can move around normally. It’s when I take actions like opening something or combat does the lag hit. Getting out of the water is different story but I’ve heard the dungeons can be bad. I noticed though, even when things are smooth certain player builds nearby causes weird lag issues for me.

For me the water level goes up, you try to swim ‘up’ (holding space) and your keep getting warped back under the water because the server hasn’t registered that the water is now ‘that high’. But the client thinks it is, so starts drowning you.

Then when the water level is at its maximum, and you should be able to “levitate” out of the water (since they can’t use the climbing animation due to ‘no climb’ flag). The server’s like “whoa, there, I don’t think the waters high enough yet” so tells the client to put you back under water.

Then-then, because all of those ledges have a bit of an overhang to them, you get stuck under it because you need to hold ‘forward’ + ‘spacebar’ to levitate out of the water. But because of the lag, the server only recognizes you moved ‘forward’. So now you’re trying to “jump” out of the water while being placed under the overhang…which is underwater.

Then-then-then, assuming I managed to get out of the water and on to the ledge, the server might not register that I’m ‘there’ and warp me back into the water.

…I’m usually at around 30% “till you drown” before I’m finally able to get out of the water.

Again, this only really starts to be an issue around 20-ish players.
…meanwhile, the Server List has the server at ~60ms ping.
