Character Import Procedure in Single-Player Mode

This is a follow-up to a previous question I asked here regarding the procedure for importing characters from Siptah Island into the Enhanced environment in single-player mode.
I just launched the Enhanced version, and the characters from Exiled Land transferred over without any issues, but I don’t know how to import the characters from Siptah Island. There is an import option in the second slot (which is currently empty) during the character creation process, but it was grayed out and I couldn’t select it.
Is the correct procedure for this documented anywhere? I haven’t been able to find it.

Unfortunately, the correct procedure has not been documented anywhere. It is possible that the reason you cannot currently import the character is because the transfer system has been turned off (it was causing problems on servers) and that may have applied to singleplayer too. However, the fact that you are getting the option at all, even greyed out, does not quite match up.

This suggests that it could maybe still be possible - you could try backing up your current save file and then deleting it from the saved folder and seeing whether it will let you import the Siptah file into the first slot if you have no save at all. I’ve no idea if that will work, but it’s the only option I can think of right now. If it doesn’t work, then it suggests the transfer window may have been closed (at least for the time being) - however, there are many server players with characters still trapped in the cloud by this system having been turned off, so it is likely it will have to be reactivated in future.

If you are able to get the Siptah save successfully transferred by this method, then you will have two save files for the same slot (the new transfer and the previous backup) - all you would need to do is to rename one of those files from game_0.db to game_1.db and then reinstate the backup and you should then have both characters available - fisrt slot and second slot.

(In case you are unsure how to backup singleplayer save files - navigate to your save folder - by default this is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles\ConanSandbox\Saved - then simply make a copy of game_0.db, place that copy somewhere else, then delete the copy that is in the save folder.)

I hope that helps, but I’m really not sure about the import problem part of it.

Unfortunately, the import still didn’t work even after deleting the character. This result supports the hypothesis that Funcom has disabled the importer. I’ll wait a while and see what happens. Thanks for your reply.
