I currently rent my own server on GPortal and I was wondering if I will be able to transfer my character from the Exiled Lands to Isle of Siptah without renting a second server.
The information about the transfers is very scattered. Apologies if this has already been answered.
I believe that if you want to transfer just the character but without admin mode , itās possible , but I donāt quite know if you can transfer your character in different mode . What I mean if your server is pve then you can transfer only in pve servers . Still no admin mode

At the moment, there is no way to transfer your character that I know of from one map to another map on the same server, even if you swap the map on the same server. I could be wrong, but I do not think its possible.
You would need another server to make it work since they are different databases.
Somebody would have to allow your character onto their separate IoS server. One server, one active map. You could run two āserversā on the same PC if hosting, but gportal is going to charge you for a second server. It needs its own dedicated resources.
This is a good question. I donāt have an answer, simply because Iāve got no clue where the character is stored during a transfer.
But in theory, if the character was saved on your computer, you should be able to do this. Character transfer would need to be turned on for both cases on both āserversā.
But if its this weird thing were the origin of the character server speaks to the destination, then no, this wouldnāt work. Both servers would need to talk to each other in this case.
I just donāt know which one.

I did get some more info on itā¦ and it āshouldā work.
I personally (as in just opinion) donāt trust it to work though lol. But thatās why it needs to be tested to hell and back on testlive.

Theoretically it would work even with just one server, but you need to swap maps and secure your safegames for that. You could transfer your character to another private server, then swap the map and transfer over your character to that map. This way you can also transfer from pve to pvp.
