Hello. Is the character transfer feature still active? I just tried to attempt a server transfer, but in-game, I am only presented with the options “Remove Bracelet” or “Import Character.” However, I am unable to export my existing character. I was playing on an official PvP server and would now like to switch to an official PvE server.
My character is currently encumbered, but he possesses a skill that prevents encumbrance from affecting movement speed. Could that be the issue? However, I find it strange that the option isn’t appearing for me at all—it isn’t even grayed out or anything similar.
Perhaps someone here can offer some insight.
It was disabled days after being reenabled. Server crashes are listed as the reason it was disabled again so soon.
To the best of my knowledge, the transfer system as a whole is currently turned off. (There were some problems during the migration between servers for the upgrade, and that is probably the reason.)
It’s worth also knowing that being encumbered (even with Beast of Burden perk) may not be allowed for transfer, even when the system is working. (But you can load the stuff into followers’ inventories - the latest version of transfers allowed for your entire follower list to be transferred with you (requiring placing a foundation at the other end and then placing them from your follower list tab) - presumably if/when it comes back the same may still be true.)
It’s also worth noting that if you transfer from Official PVP to PVE, you will not be able to transfer that character back to PVP later - there is a ‘hierarchy’ of sorts, where you can only go in one direction, or to other servers of the same level - Official PVP > Official PVE-C > Offficial PVE > Private Servers > Singleplayer/Coop. (In case you didn’t know and were planning on going back later.)
