Database loll??

considering that every thing is on database, including the bases it makes sense lol. But talking serious, its a fact, purge exploiters are spreading over all server, using purges to raid bases on pve. It was possible with old purge, yes but it was way more expenssive, now it cheap and easy. Got my base on pve raided with purge exploit this month. I could not take part on sacred hunt event because i had to rebuild my base.

when i logged on the following day my base was surrounded with vaults and sleeping bags with pvp flag, people was planning to wipe it, so i moved everything to another place. Fucom should address this as fast as they can, it will coste a percentage of the player base, i was considering stopping to play this game. Seriously, its the thirdy time i got attacked by exploiters/cheaters, and i play only in pve.

yah i can definately see how exploiting the new purge could be a major problem on the public / official servers. on private servers it’s easily dealt with if you have an admin who actually pays attention. griefers are much more likely to do this stuff on public. it would be nice if funcom could do something about the exploit, though i can’t think of what it would be…

Same can be said of public servers.

Ive not heard of this yet the build a coffer near u an just let the ourge wreck ur base

Horrible english sorry so they build a coffer near u an let the purge take ur base

Expect for the fact that here are no actual active admins on the public servers. So no, it really cannot be said at all, which is precisely why hacking and exploiting has been so rampant on pvp officials for…well… since they existed though they have grown to new levels in recent times. And this is also why such exploiting and griefing is becoming more and more prevalent on pve and pve-c servers as well. There are NO ACTIVE ADMINS TO PAY ATTENTION to their antics, and it is obvious to anyone that Zendesk clearly does not work as intended (though such things should still be reported there none the less).

Thus what @RagnarRandom has said is completely and utterly valid, and from my own personal experience is completely accurate. I have never once dealt with the kinds of garbage nonsense that official players deal with on a daily basis simply because I play on well maintained private servers (well, when I did play, I haven’t honestly logged on more than a handful of times since Chapter 3, that is how bloody awful these last two chapters have been).

yah the server cluster i play on has 10 different modded maps all connected together by amunets server transfer, and we have never had any griefing issues. admin pays attention and it would be dealt with, but only public toilets attract people who want to ■■■■ on the floor.

and same on not playing much lately. been having more fun modding than playing.

My point. If we had actual active admin it could be easily dealt with.

Thus as Admin here is one of my rules:
Purge:
• Players are to place their treasure coffer in their own base and that base cannot be one that the Admin has provided a no-damage protect to. Else this could provide a path that both harms other players and **at the very least it is a way to cheat or abuse the Purge system through unintended game mechanics. **
- Which will most likely be in every case an immediate ban.

the purge mobs should attack on the pieces of who summoned the purge. Also people use the truncheon to push the demolisher and move him around at will, it could be adressed by making it taking damage from truncheon. Coffers should not be spammable. Logged events should bring the funcom id, like "your building piece was destryed by a demolisher of purge owned by jhondoe#mtfck. This last one could deencourage a lot of actions like this. The clan name now is useless on logs, due to poeple being able to fake clan names to impersonete other clans and disguise their nefastous actions.
