It sure would be nice if we had a fancy hearth that didn’t roast us (it’s 70C in my home along noob river).
Normally, I’d just turn the two hearths off, but as I’ve reported Heat-creation continues even if a placeable that generates heat is not active.
PS: Technically it should get really really cold at night in the desert. So yes, you would want a fire at night. Plus it just looks nice.
Yeah, Ive had a few heat-related deaths inside my base involving (probably) my T3 furnaces. Cant be sure since Ive died while offline and lost my stuff. I think theres something extra fishy about hearths and furnaces now… As if they are heating on a larger radius than before. Im particularly troubled by the fact that the heat seems to affect through walls as well. It would be great to get a devs opinion on the matter.
If my deaths were caused by the furnaces, the heating radius wouldve been like, 6-10 blocks, different floor below the furnace, through the walls. In legacy version, this wouldve happened only if I was on the floor directly above the furnace, or right next to it. Now… the distance seems longer. More testing required.
The furnaces also seem to heat while OFF.
