Have had that same problem, was attempting to build a 2nd base in the north… Logged off one night back in next day, couldn’t break any rocks.
Went south to the old base, could break rocks in the desert… But I’m not going to haul rocks for a great distance when I should be able to get it local.
Like I said in another post, I swear every time I log in something new breaks.
Combat lag is making this fantastic game frustrating and hard to play. 15 minutes into a fight with a mammoth and I almost had it killed and then it disappeared and then I was dead. It was attacking me and had no idea from what direction. I mean, the lag was there the whole time but I wasn’t prepared for that.
I agree, I can’t kill anything big like elephants and rhinos because the constant lag makes fighting impossible. They disappear and reappear, it’s making me MAD. I need the strong leather and can’t manage a single kill
The Elk King’s in the Highlands will give you Thick Hide, if thats what your after, They’re an easier fight than elephants and rhino’s in my opinion.
