Combatmodemodifier and PVE-C

Trying to setup a private PVE server on PC (GPortal) with friendly fire and I heard maybe 10 different ways to do it but no concrete answer:

  1. Set PVP with restricted PVP times
  2. Set PVP with combatmodemodifier to 1 or 2
  3. Set PVP with combatmodemodifier to 1 or 2

I can’t find the definition of combatmodemodifier server setting anywhere, does anybody know what it does? I is either NULL, 1 or 2.
Also, how can I setup a PVE server with friendly fire enabled?

P.S.
Is purge working for anybody?
