Conan Exiles Dedicated Server Launcher (Official Version: 1.7.8 / Beta: 1.7.9)

Offiicial Conan Exiles Wiki (anyone is able to contribute!)
:books: https://conanexiles.gamepedia.com/

Ha, ok, I knew of the DSL page, but since it was not updated I thought you spoke of another one, I never noticed there was the version updated on the “upcoming” page

(I’ve not updated the Beta on the page, mostly because .36 and .37 are identical to .35 in term of feature, all they have are more log spam, so if .35 work for people there’s no reason to use the two betas)

I could understand it. If you have any input for the wiki, feel free to let me know, try contributing yourself and/or join us on discord

It seems to be getting multiple Date & Time formats that its failing to recognize MON DAY @ TIME and MON DAY, TIME

Why… oh why???

When I was doing my tests, from Oslo, for a remote machine in the USA, … through a VPN… I consistently got this type of format in return:

6 Mar, 2017 @ 1:56am / 12 Feb, 2017 @ 3:02am / 11 Feb, 2017 @ 11:31pm / 10 Dec @ 7:59am / 16 Nov @ 3:59am / 30 Oct @ 6:42am / 30 Oct @ 4:59am / 11 Oct @ 11:04pm / 6 Oct @ 7:21pm / 21 Sep @ 5:00am / 14 Sep @ 5:00am / 31 Aug @ 5:00am / 27 Jul @ 4:59am / …

Why does it return MON DAY on your system instead of DAY MON ??? (And yes, it was indeed already the case in the results.txt on your dropbox file, but I did not notice, I was wondering too much about why you got a curl error.)

Anyway, I made a new version that handles both cases: http://cdn.funcom.com/downloads/exiles/DedicatedServerLauncher1038.exe

:crossed_fingers:

Yep that was it i put .38 in just before the pippi update and its auto restarting for the pippi update! TY so much I think the server 2012 system date format defaults to that so maybe the results are in whatever the system’s date format is setup in Windows? Not really sure but it’s working now for me!

Server is Online!

Found things to update: #880454836 (Pippi - User & Server Management - v2.1.14)

Server Restart Incomming in 10 Mins.

Now where is your office so i can send a load of Entertainer’s your way! TY for your dedication to this tool!

Well, knowing that this feature finally works is good enough for me, I’ll be able to enjoy the easter break feeling lighter.

I think the server 2012 system date format defaults to that so maybe the results are in whatever the system’s date format is setup in Windows?

But that’s the thing: This whole thing is suppose to ignore whatever you have setup in windows, it’s doing a direct HTTP query to the valve server, the actual date of things is actually written by Valve in the html file. I’m half wondering if they are not doing some geolocation to force the text format to some specific display depending of where the query comes from… that being said I should have had different results when comparing Oslo and Durham…

Anyway, note for later: Log everything from the start, eventually remove later if that spams too much.

I think you’re onto something with the Geo Location When i tested on my personal Server here In Ottawa Canada it was passing (Day Month format) but the Dedicated Server is in Florida in a DataCenter and it’s getting Month Day format.

kinda a Metric vs Imperial system difference possibly LoL.

I would be fine with that, if there was a (documented?) way of just getting plain old ISO timestamps in UTC format. I should not have to use some heuristics to figure out if the month is before or after, and if the year is present or not, without even mentioning the time format :stuck_out_tongue:

I’m running a server in the same machine that I play. Everything works just fine, but if I add a mod, any mod, I can not connect to the server. Help ?

Possibly the information is somewhere in the logs for the client and the server.

There could be multiple reason, but the main one is to know if the server actually detects the connection attempt and just reject it. Normally with the current moding system you need to have the exact same mods on the client and the server, at the exact same version.

The way that works is that the server compares the list of mods the client has, and if it does not match it displays a mod compatibility error while returning the list of mods that need to be updated, then the client disconnects, updates the mods, restarts and tries to join again.

Tried everything, let the server download/update the mods, copy the client mods files, update both, still no dice. But thank, I will check the log files.

Regards.

Don’t know if this has been adressed! The “auto-check for update and restart” is a fantastic feature. But I would like if the launcher could alert ingame, just like when the auto-restart feature is used.

This way people have a chance to finde safe grounds before the restart.

Thanks.

I didn’t use it until the first time it didn’t work, then I tried it and it worked… until the next update. I don’t understand what it could have changed to make everything work though. Is it possible my router is not sending traffic to the right computer? I’m hardwired, and my IP is generally static. I’ve checked with ipconfig several times to make sure I hadn’t messed something up, but it always reported the same IP.

Everything screams either my Router or ISP being the problem, and honestly I’m not sure anymore. I’ll call them tomorrow, but I really doubt they’ll do anything.

It does send out the same messages.

It does indeed send out the messages in game… assuming you have enabled RCon.
If you do, then most of the broadcast messages are sent to the game (as well as on Discord if it is enabled)

Thank you guys  I missed the RCON option in my settings

Another tiny issue that will probably be easy to address (yes, yes I know me and my tiny issues!): Could the mod update check be suspended when the launcher is already in countdown mode?
I try to time my mod uploads to the steam workshop so that they coincide with our normal daily restarts but unless I specifically turn off the automatic mod update check, it can happen that the countdown is already down to 6 minutes when the mod update is noticed and the launcher resets it to 10 minutes.

It’s supposed to already be the case, so I guess it’s a bug.

Hello, When I restart the server, player count is reset on 30. I can’t set it on 40. There is something wrong i did ? Forcing with command line parameter don’t work also
Thanks
