Uploaded new update ‘CONAN EXILES ENHANCED’ but lost faith in one foul swoop. I went out to explore and “BOOM” Greeted with 'You have traveled to far from host" warning and end of travel. Can not play this like this. Would this settings be removed at a later date (hopefully) or at least adding a option to tick/turn this setting off. Will no longer take part in this game until either these options are in place. Thank you for ruining my experience…
The tether should only apply in Coop mode (and has always applied in coop mode). If you are in coop mode, the tether exists because the host’s computer is only able to process a certain amount of the world at once. If the tether is suddenly shorter than before, it porbably just needs to host to reset the distance in the game settings.
If you are getting this message when you are not playing in coop mode, then it is a bug.
If you want to play coop but without a tether at all, then you will need someone to run a dedicated server. In theory a good enough PC can manage to act as both server and client for the person using it and then the weaker PC could connect to it as a second client. But you’d need someone else to advise of how to actually do that.
