The climbing bug is not actually from the beginning sadly, though it has been around for a very long time. It is easy to get around if you simply hold the climb button and move your camera angle so that it is looking down at you from above. Still, I agree it really does need to get fixed (and I believe Dennis mentioned that there was a fix in the works though I have yet to see one…).

It has been clear that there simply is either no QA on these items, or a stunningly lack of it.

Their biggest reason for not expanding the map in the exiled lands was a simple one. The infrastructure could not handle it on the older gen consoles (which can barely handle the game as it is). They can add more things to the game without adding more map space so that has been their focus. Was that the right decision? Not for me to say. I have no idea how accurate their claim was in the first place.

I assume you are playing on an official server? Yeah… G-Portal. G-Portal is garbage. I can honestly say that on private servers crashes are not nearly as common (even the ones on G-Portal). But then again, they usually restrict things like building sizes and thrall counts and such and or have scheduled wipes. SO yeah, the servers tend to be more stable than the official servers are. Official servers are… not good in that regard.

Well, if you look at it this way. At one time item X was pretty worthless. Then Funcom made a change to system Y and item X became pretty valuable. So if you had been hording item X you suddenly now had a huge leg up on your opposition. Since Funcom has a habit of changing systems frequently enough the value of items also tend to change. What was once a major in demand resource is now a toss away item. But tomorrow it could change and you may need it again in massive quantities so… you might just want to squirrel it away right? Yeah, they kinda made people think this way with so many changes to so many systems over the years. And again, as you pointed out, official servers don’t wipe.
So yeah, I don’t really disagree with most of what you have to say. I will say thought that SIptah is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! It is such a pretty map, I wish it were a bit…better. Though maybe it is just that I have not played on it enough.
