donât want to sound sinophobic, since I got nothing against Chinese people, but I would like the CCCP out of my afternoon activities.
Having said that, I donât even want to know how much the CIA knows about me from what I play.

Every multi-national Chinese corporation either works for, or in some way reports to, the Chinese government. Anyone who believes otherwise is naive.
This doesnât mean that the Chinese government controls each and every corporation directly, and it certainly doesnât mean that they care about every individual person who plays games their companies own, this probably wonât ever matter to you or affect you, but it does mean that any of your information and data that Chinese-owned game companies have collected about you is available for the Chinese government to dig in to, if they feel like it.

Yeah so true. I have a sweet DJI drone my son bought for me and the appstore app got pulled and is now disabled on my phone. Have to get it direct from DJI website now and no way Iâm putting it on my phone. Basically need to get a factory wiped used phone to run it, to be on the safe side.

I believe the worst case scenario is FC would need to be sold to another entity. This happened to Daybreak Games a few years back when the owner of their parent company got sanctioned. This isnât really that uncommon.

If the chinese goverment wanted to spy on us they would buy over Rockstars or something like that.
With GTA or red dead redemption you could possibly gain much more user data than with a broken, outdated, unpopular clusterfvck of a shÂĄtshow FFS.

all game software (an increasingly operating systems!) are potential keyloggers / screen grabbers / bitcoin miners, at best and rootkits at worst.

which brings me to the title of this post. if china was doing even a fraction âto the westâ (edit: clarified âto the westâ, as im not sure what goes on within china) of what western companies do to their own citizens there would be an absolute avalanche of outrage.
You know, to us (outside west), this is getting hilarious.
The type of Blacklisting that Tencent is experiencing means they cannot do business with the US military/Department of Defense. They can still do business as usual, just not with any US government contracts. The private sector is still wide open.
Exactly, and I doubt the DoD is using Conan Exiles to train up their next batch of marines. They use Call of 
for that.
