I’d like to open a discussion regarding the current “meta” revolving around Corrupted Authority combined with the Siptah Sigils. While we see a lot of content creators showing off how this build destroys PvE content, the real problem lies in PvP and PvE-C, where this setup has become completely game-breaking. Really!!!
Let’s be honest: in its current state, this build makes players virtually immortal.
Why this is a nightmare for PvP:
The “Invincible Wall” Effect: The damage-sharing mechanic combined with two Black Corsair Elite Trolls (20k+ HP each) means that when you attack a player, you aren’t fighting a human—you’re fighting a massive health pool that simply doesn’t move. You can unload full combos into these players, and they take almost zero damage because it’s all soaked up by their pets.
Healing through Aggression: Because the third Authority perk heals the player when their followers deal damage, fighting these players is a losing game. The more they fight, the more they heal. You are essentially forced to fight a boss with a health-regen ability, not another player.
Total Status Immunity: The Petrified perk makes them immune to Bleed, Poison, and Disease. This removes the main tools we use in PvP to counter high-defense builds. How are we supposed to win a fight when all our status-based pressure is nullified?
Zero Resource Management: Thanks to the Demon, Fiend, and Twice Drowned Sigils, these players don’t even have to worry about stamina management. They can sprint indefinitely, spam attacks, and dodge without ever reaching a breaking point.
Why this ruins the game:
PvP in Conan Exiles should be about skill, positioning, and punishing mistakes. Right now, it’s about who can get these specific buffs and “park” their trolls in the middle of a fight. There is no risk involved anymore. You can be the most skilled PVPer on the server, but you will still lose to an average player running this “immortal” setup simply because their build is mathematically impossible to burst down.
On PvE-C, it’s the same story during conflict hours—you see groups of players “face-tanking” entire bases and other players as if they were gods. It’s draining the fun out of the game for anyone who wants to use a different build or actually play with some risk.
I’m curious: Does anyone else feel like this build is fundamentally broken for PvP? Should Funcom cap the damage-sharing, or perhaps disable certain Sigil buffs during combat with other players?
Problem is most of these cheese builds rely heavily on the added exploit factors, combo mismatch and desynch. It’s not a matter of skill but rather whomever exploits the fastest.
Nevermind an imbalance in caveats based on choices, nullifying usually somewhat balanced counters.
As I recall something which happened in earlier days, the only way to counter sky builds was to sky build next to them and unleash an avatar upon them. It worked.
So, until it’s been seriously “fixed”, it is fair game for anybody else to take advantage of it.
There is an intense feeling of satisfaction when it comes to dishing out the same punishment against those very ones who’ve been doing it all along and getting away with it.
The trick is being smarter (and more resouceful) at doing it and THIS game happens to allow it. (at least for now until it has been or ever will be “patched out”)
It is game breaking. It also wasn’t intended. Thats why it was nerfed before the upgrade. It’ll get nerfed again. This is the same crap with people running around with an unkillable Liu fei and as long as you were running that sorcery build, you also were unkillable. Anyone who thinks running around practically unable to take damage is “PvP” doesn’t PvP. They exploit and cheat. I know exactly who’s doing it on officials. It’s always the same 10-15 dudes in their goofy little zergs with their toxic discord, with their ten hackers in their vc every night figuring this stuff out, and de-popping servers with their toxicity. Then getting on here and whining that officials are dead. Yeah because of them. They are the problem. Always will be.
No because it wasn’t intended and I like a good clean fight. Not some cheesy build that’ll be patched in two weeks because every 10 man clan on Conan abusing the hell out of it like right now. You say you like PvP yet you’ve created a build to avoid any damage or repercussions to PvP. Might as well just buy hacks at that point since you don’t wanna actually PvP.
Yeah the damage on an alpha snake on a laggy official is insane. The poison stacks super quick and you don’t even realize you’re poisoned until it’s too late due to lag. They are also leveling them to get large health pools. We got a dude with two that has 10k hp between the two.
Ohh I see, never had a snake pet before, always tought they were slow af, but I can see what your’re saying, I’ve seen a guy run 3 zombies with 11k and it is pretty much the same
