Conan PVP New Meta is totaly broken!

From what I’ve been seeing agi builds with bow/ daggers seem to beat it, looking it up most of the “meta” corruption builds warn to watch out for those types specifically

Just bomb PvP that shit.

PvP players, please enlighten a puzzled carebear. AFAIK:

  • Flesh Bond transfers 33% of damage to all followers. More followers don’t increase the mitigation, but only transfer the same damage to all followers*.
  • To get Devour and Petrified, you need a lot of corruption, in turn reducing your health.
  • Devour gives 2% life leech. If a thrall deals a total of e. g. 500 damage to you, that’s a heal of 10 (ten!) points, which shouldn’t make much of a difference. If one had taken a Cimmerian Berseker instead of a (bugged) Black Corsair, he’d have dealt about 750 damage instead due to the higher damage multiplier, which seems much more decisive.
  • Flesh Bond makes healing effects stronger in effect, because the 33% damage reduction means that a health potion will cure more percentage of your health. However, you loose access to Fast Healer, which does the same, but stronger (+50%).
  • The only real advantage I see here is Petrified, but that’s a whole other point.

How does that build make a player unkillable? An uncorrupted player character should have more life and better healing. I suspect the issue here is the (bugged) Black Corsair, not the build itself. Or am I missing something?

*That was explained wrongly in a recent video, btw., claiming that more pets increase the transfer. But it ain’t so afaik.

How about you test it yourself with a friend?

i dont understand why people have trouble with this , people cannot take it if u find any other way then the meta gameplay with punching daggers or the great axe .

if people change builds just find a way to kill them its not that hard .

there is a easy way to kill sorcer people with authority build but i will not tell on here you can figure out yourself if you use your minds for once.

People who like to throw this “there is an EASY way to counter something, but I’m not going to tell you” around are very hard to take seriously. You might as well have just typed nothing.

If it was really so EASY to counter, then it wouldn’t be the meta now would it?

So from what I’ve been seeing when fighting against this build is that it’s not a “legit” build. Something is bugged with it. I’ve noticed that players using this build take fair damage when they’re full, but those numbers drop significantly when they’re at lower health values, so much to even single digit values, i.e. the less health they have, the less damage you deal.

For example, if I hit them they’re at full, they might take 60 damage, but when they’re at 50 health, they’ll only take 25. When they’re at 10 health, they’ll take 5, and so on until they reach 2 health, then your next attack does 1 damage, so you have to hit them AGAIN to actually kill them. It’s as if they’re taking half as much damage based on their current health value.

This is NOT due to the “Last Stand” perk either, since I’ve fought players using this Sorc build that used Glutton instead, and they still required multiple hits to finish off when they got down to single digits. It’s as if the damage reduction affects are multiplying incorrectly and somehow interacting at lower health, when they’re not supposed to.

This means players using this build are using a BUGGED BUILD, and are exploiting it as much as they can while pretending it’s “legit.”

The only good thing about this build is it’s ultimate capability to counter lagswitchers and even some cheaters. Other than that i completely agree with you, this build is broken and needs to be nerfed. With grey lotus potions and glutton u are basically unkillable.

Yep, 100%. It’s obviously possible to beat, but you have to work considerably harder than they do to actually win the fight. While they can kill you in just a few swings, you’re forced to resort to fast weapons, such as katanas or daggers, to actually finish them off, and even then it’s still not easy.

Funcom used to have a perk called “Cat Like” iirc. But this perk was supposed to half fall damage.

What it essentially did, was doing half damage to your maximum HP at most. Totally broken und braindead coding logic. You could jump from southern aqueduct tower down and only take half your HP as fall damage.

This is also why I chose this profile name btw.

There are two versions of this build as far i am understanding, could it be the wrack effect? or could it be a miscalculation with steel thewed? (where it looks at current hp instead of maximum hp?)

It would be interesting to see a video of it, so we can see buffs & debuffs going on.
