Hey! Ever since I picked up Conan Exiles way back when it was in early stages of Early Access, I’ve had a strong love/hate relationship with the game. It has all the makings of a top contender to the throne of survival games, but the ONE thing keeping it down, is the fact that it is a playground for cheating/exploit of game mechanics. This has been an issue that forced pvp player with a moral compass to 9 times out of 10, admit defeat and move on from the game.
I may not know the ins and outs of developing, maintaing and growing a live-service game. But I do know that if this issue is not resolved asap, Conan Exiles Enhanced will suffer the same fate as Conan Exiles - empty pvp servers. I would very much like for that not to happen!
Region lock, prevention of vpn, hardware ban…explore any and all solutions to prevent people from being able to play pvp as it is intended.
I would also think that it is prudent to enlist the help of admins that players can reach out to, who can monitor what goes on in the servers real time. Survival games needs attending more so than most other games in my opinion, and I’m shouting from the rooftops that I want this to succeed but before I leave it for good as a direct result of cheaters having their way with me.
