Connection bug, when loading serverlist

also installed 1.07 and it worked! i ll test later if it stays like that.

Hi,
the Patch improved it a little bit. Still have some crashes.

It worked once for me after patch. Found my server, it was full. So I tried again and it broke me internet again. >_<

Hi guys.
I did some research and found out Destiny had the same problem, hence I found the solution which works until funcom makes a fix.

I simply placed My PS4 in DMZ. There’s a guide at this link.

kamala the problem has no thing to do with ports been open so dmz will not help plus my ps4 has been in dmz from day 1 tho thank you for trying to help.

today patch 1.07 as improved it a lot for me and it made the list load very fast 2 to 3 sec and have a full list with 3k server to pick from, the bug will return if i refresh the list to soon or change the filter as this seem to start it refreshing again.

but and easy work around to that i have seen after some testing just wait 1 to 2 min before refreshing list if you even need to do it again.

The Hotfix repaired the problem slightly. I was able to get into the Server browser first time without crashing. I instantly did put some of the official servers in fav. At the second try it crashed again after a short while without loading any servers except for the few ones i put on fav. These ones i could access (when connected quickly). But still a mayor problem. I hope the guys at FunCom get to the bottom of this asap. Or even a little reaction towards their customers would be nice.

it worked for me 2 times now crashing psn again. this is annoying…

Thank you for all of the reports in this thread. We’re looking into this issue.

Some players have told me that they can manage to join servers by having a friend invite them through PSN. Have any of you been able to get into servers that way? Obviously we want to fix this, but I’m curious if anyone else can use this workaround.

Yes this way works.

yes that is working. but i would not call it workaround. i have no friends :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Yes I do that to play with My friend. But its No good ofc if the server is full.

If it is effecting every device in your home, get a better router. As a gamer, you should realize a lot of information is piled into your router too quickly, the router cant handle it. Your solution : purchase a better router, maybe one specifically tailored for gaming or a business grade router. That, or don’t have so many active connections on your router. Contrary to popular belief, you’re not stuck with your isp’s router, most isps dont provide routers, only modems. Its as simple as hooking your modem up to a new router, and set up a password, you can even use the ps4 to do it. Then hook the router to the ps4 [for the love of god, never use wifi for gaming]. To summarize, you’ve no legal recourse because your network can’t handle the strain.

What?! None of us ever thought of that…we all tried these and its still the game.

it also affects every device in my home also and it is not the router. I have 1gb fiber network ( fiber to house - cat6 cable in house) and i have hooked DIRECT to the net (ps4 strait to the net) and it still crashes.?

Explain what the game could possibly be doing to knock other devices off the network, besides overloading the router. Now I’ll cave and say maybe it’s something to do with resource management on funcoms side, but I’m doubting it, as that would be lead to far more outages. The number of people having this problem is small, as evidenced by the fact the servers are at capacity for 90 percent of the day. That, or the end of net neutrality led to isps capping your bandwidth, but that would be more widespread as well. My point is, if it were funcoms fault, you would likely see ALOT more people experiencing this issue.

My point is not invalid because I can’t get the specific reason…when it’s the only game that has ever this yo my internet…it’s easy to figure out where the problem is.

It’s the condescending manner in which you posted that invalidated anything from you. You’re no IT specialist, you cannot pretend to know what the problem is, which is why you’re here on the forums.

You don’t have to be an IT specialist to figure out the problem. It’s very simple. Why do you even care?

Well actually, you probably do need to be an IT specialist to fix whatever this problem is if it’s not simply cheapo $20 walmart routers. And I care because alot of Funcoms resources are going into this, you guys still wont have much fun when you do play, as you’ll continually lose hours worth of thrall breaking, because not a single thrall has regenerated health since launch. For anyone. Npc purge just rolls most bases. So I think they should devote more time to that, which effects EVERYONE, as opposed to this, which may not even be their problem. In my opinion.

Man if insulting people is what makes you happy more power to you. I’m still going to push to get my game fixed.
