Connecting to official servers is a joke right now. The ping times are ridiculous. i can see a lot of people being unable to play or even refresh their stuff because servers pings are through the roof. When a good ping is 120 there has to be a lot of people who cannot login.
The only difference between now and before was this patch for people. The internet remained the same for players.
Givenn how horrible the connection rates are would it not be smart for you funcom to suspend the ping filter which seems to be around 140 now, so that people can at least log in and refresh.
Since you have the decay timer going on PC.
Or is this actually funcoms new purge system going on by players loosing stuff to decay?
We simply need a wipe system, every 1, 2 or 3 months for example.
Plus a limit of buildings, vaults, thralls, animals … for each player.
For a good health of the servers.
I think DLC are in cause too, it cause many more buildings pieces for the same result.
Open world is a thing, but the technical part of the servers is another thing … so we can not let the players do everything they want.
Else the situation will continue to be even worse every months.
The decay system is there for a reason. Many people would quit the game entirely if they started doing server wipes. Whats the point of putting your imagination and time into creating a base of your own, no matter the size. And having a limit to how many building pieces you can use is ridiculous. I no im not the only one who wouldn’t buy any dlcs if they said, oops sorry you cant build anymore, your base is too big. people spend years on the same server and play almost everyday, it wouldn’t be fair to them. btw they do have a thrall limit. That is the only thing i can agree with you on. before they said anything about thrall limits i would see people with 100’s of thralls just scattered about.
Me too, I dont know about you but i would never play on official servers again, or buy their dlc’s. And i also cant afford to have my own server for years. Agree?
Yeah this, it takes me for ever to farm stuff some times just to build a medium size base I am slow, so even if they did a 3 month wipe, the server would wipe before I was even half done with a base and I would lose all interest in the game fast, there is a reason I play on a PvE server I like the knowledge that when I log off and come back the next day my stuff will still be there.
This to, there is another game I can think of that limits how big you can build, fallout 76 and it is the worst, there is nothing worst then building something and half way through building it you are told you cant build anymore, or you can build the building but have no budget left to actually decorate it, those kind of mechanics are nothing but frustrations to me.
I would probably just stop playing altogether out of frustration.
I’ve been on the same pve server for over a year and I’m still not done but my base isn’t all that big for the time I’ve spent there. Its just me building by myself.
