Conscripts/Horticulture

I currently have two mods on the Steam Workshop, Conscripts (my first mod) the initial goal was to provide a way for thralls to harvest resources. I made Horticulture by request of a few players who only wanted the plant portion of Conscripts.

Plans going forward for Horticulture, I plan to see what fits with the vanilla farming and go from there. I may need to make my own compost heap, now that funcom is going to use the one they made. I guess they could use the same station since their mats are different? In real life, there are different ways to compost so it could be fun to have more than one option in game. Maybe one compost lets you grow desert type plants and the other does northern plants? I am also intrigued by the potent compost it looks like that’s how you get special or rare plants. I have some plans for how you can use your excess plants and seeds…

Great to hear. I really like your plant boxes, it’s a more architectural style than the vanilla, great to build whole gardens or parks, reminding me of the „hanging gardens of Babylon“. Also the decorative planters are much nicer than the vanilla ones. It would be cool when you could take over the vanilla mechanics for planting. (love to see the plants growing)

Hi everyone! Funcom has announced we should get update 33 sometime today! https://conandevtracker.com/?post=aevmlypb
I wanted to make sure everyone knows Conscripts and Horticulture are not compatible with update 33 so please disable them until I can update them. I will post here and on the Mod pages when they are updated.

I’m excited to announce that the Emberlight team has reached the pre-release phase for our mod, which includes Horticulture in its evolved form as well as a host of core gameplay tweaks and improvements. I’ll give everyone a link to the Workshop page for the mod as soon as it’s ready to go, which will be sometime later today. I hope everyone enjoys it!
