Constant Crash to Xbox desktop when loading online PvE

Bug Description:

When I try to join the server (2011) the game crashes and throws me to the Xbox dashboard. This seems to be the same for every server. Sometimes I have been successful after hard resetting the console and the game will load after my 5th or 6th attempt. Other times I have been successful when joining someone else’s game but these do not work all of the time or are not always possible.

This morning, I have attempted to login to server 2011 around 10 times of more, have hard rest the console twice and no luck. I killed all my active downloads and any other apps that were open in the background and this had no affect. The ping for the server was always between 20 and 100 so not terrible either. The loading bar seems to always restart 2 or 3 times and it’s after the bar starts the second time that the crash happens about 1 quarter to half way.

I don’t have time to waste an hour trying to connect to a game each time I play. This game is currently unplayable for me.

Expected Behavior:

I would expect the game to load at the first try.

Steps to Reproduce:

Try to join any PvE server on an Xbox one X at any time of the day

I have now logged this as 25996. Although, I am beginning to wonder if this is some new game lore. RNG now being used to determine if you can load into a server or not. :man_shrugging:t2:

Hi.
I’ve experienced this same issue and might be able to offer a work-around.

Next time you’re Dashboarded, load a Single Player game. Once in Single player, log out and go into the server you’re wanting.

I’m unsure why this works, but it does. I found this option through the internet search where PC players were having similar issues.
