Very early in the game with the T2 building tree unlocked handcrafted inventory is just full of stuff… Scroll scroll scroll, missed it … rage, type search … So many things… I have all the DLC (yea) So I have all the building blocks… times like 5 or 7 different styles… in my hand crafted inventory…
Can we easily clean this up Asap?
Like AoC… There building blocks are built in a crafting station…
There been several suggestions on this, from a bench, to a new tab that allow us turn them off, or even ability to buy “dlc” via feat point, And skip t1 and t2 requirements.
I agree, the menu is cluttered with even 2 of them. I can’t imagine the menu by time we get other 3.
It’s a nightmare with 4 dlc. In solo / co-op I can use admin respeccing to add the building feats when I need to build and remove them when I don’t need them. But that won’t work on an online server.
You can drink a yellow lotus potion to nuke the clutter in the handcrafting list but it’s a pain doing that all the time
I am a bit dismayed as an admin about why I can’t have an infinite source of all those items I’ve added to my radial menu. PS4 player here. This would help a lot to create a wanted scenery for roleplay.
We don’t have a search feature so that makes the crafting menu a tad tedious with each new tier and row added.
Honestly I’d hate a crafting station for building.
It requires a perfect plan before building (and never do mistakes while building) or it require to place it near the place you want to build and over all it solves nothing, because the problem of too many thing in the menu is the same but requires you return to crafting station, having the load icons bug if you was too far from it etc. A nightmare in pve and pve-c where you build a lot.
Honestly the only good choice imho could be separate building pieces from handcrafted other things in two separate menus of creation.
Even if, to be honest, there are so few thing you do handcraft that I don’t feel the current situation as a problem at all.
EDIT: but having only 1 occurrence for each type of building piece in the crafting menu and then when selected to have a second menu to select the style of it could be nice 
I would love to see some sort of crafting bench for T2 and T3. I am also aware of how many would hate it. Maybe add a bench to hold those items but make it a option in settings that can be turned on or off. I also likr the idea of a building piece and the selecting the type of piece. Basically making a sub category.
I’ve been playin Atlas a lot lately (from Ark Developers). They also have a cool way of streamlining the crafting recipes. Example: make a wall, while placing, you can change the wall to a windowed wall, door frame, half wall/railing etc. Would be a nice feature imo.
Either way, something needs to be done for consoles because the current cafting menu is extremely cumbersome.
I would agree that something needs to be done. The current situation is untenable as it is and with more DLCs (likely) it will only get worse. I like your idea to model it after Atlas by using a base building piece and cycling through the type. This would be especially useful for ceiling pieces, where there are quite a few different varieties but only a few you use on a regular basis. I do NOT agree about the crafting stations,however. While ostensibly a good idea, practically it would be quite tedious to have to go back to your station when you needed one more wall. Also, we have quite enough building stations as is. Still something most be done with the UI regarding crafting. A menu with different building tabs for each building Tier, the DLCs and other misc hand crafted (this should be default) twine, silk etc should do the trick. If used in conjunction with the Atlas build model, we could have a super streamlined crafting menu. An exile can dream…
