Long ago I shared with you all this post about my building issues on single player:
I am thinking to use the CREATIVE MODE to see if this mode bypasses the issue that’s not allowing me to place or put back missing pieces.
If there’s anyone who faced the same issue in single player as I still do and tried the creative mode and saw results.
Can you please share with me the details if creative mode saves from this issue?

Just try it out. If you’re playing single player, creative mode is available and doesn’t break anything. So just try it.
Some (including myself) prefer not to use creative mode in single player and consider it cheating (yourself). But if it’s to fix a bug or try something out, then go for it!
I do not really understand the problem from your description and even the video. But it may a very common issue. Sometimes, the building system doesn’t allow to put pieces where they clearly should be allowed to be put, e. g. because they were in that place before. That can usually be fixed by trying from another perspective, deleting some other pieces around the problem area, move outside the drawing distance, re-equip the building hammer, restarting the game and similar methods. If that is the issue you have, creative mode most likely will not help. But: Try it out!
I tried to remove the things around the pieces you see on the vid, but the results were worse. I tried a fresh save on single player and issue appears there too.
I even walked through the missing pieces to see if my character will rubber back forth but nothing
Have you got any furniture near the missing build pieces? You can also try toggling Build Anywhere on.
This seems to occur on Xbox. Does anybody here have an idea what kind of problem this is (and how to fix it)?
XB1 or Series X/S? You can try switching on build anywhere and ignore stability loss as well as switching off decay timers. Some build pieces can be a little fussy when remodelling, requiring placement in a specific order or swapping to a different build piece before swapping back to the piece you actually want to use
no decorations near the missing pieces. and yes that option was still on when the issue happened on both cases.
You could try clearing your cache and also try clearing local save data to force the game to load from the cloud.
I tried that on ps5 where the issue is and still same issue. I also did today 4/7/2026 a test with creative mode, and sadly the issue persists .
Then it’s clearly a bug, no doubt about it, but unfortunately it’s something that only new updates can fix in this particular session. So only patience can help right now. Whenever i have these kind of issues on single player since AoS dropped i delete SP sessions and i restart brand new. Plus whenever i use creative mode on sessions i somehow know that the session will procced problematic, so i don’t continue these sessions for casual gaming .
I know that what i do is only for my convenience, yet this doesn’t mean that dedicated SP players should follow example. No people should not delete their progress neither encounter game breaking bugs in their SP session .

Sadly my friend not even CREATIVE MODE can’t help me to by pass the building Issue that I still experience until today.
This past Saturday I tested my luck with it. I build ed my base in single player to a certain point and log out to rest. When I logged back in all were good until one hour later the bug struck again.
First of all, good news that you tried it out. The problem you describe was, as expected, not fixed by creative mode. Still good to test that.
I cannot clearly understand the problem itself, but I suspect it’s one of the many curiosities we encounter with the building hammer. Sometimes, it takes some creative fiddling to place a piece somewhere, e. g. deleting other pieces before. I’d say: Work on it with creative mode some more, and with time, you’ll find a way.
It’s good that it allowed you to play one hour before it appears. That means that the update did something after all . Try tomorrow night before you sleep to uninstall the game and install it back now that the update dropped, maybe this will fix your corrupted data . Yet after you download the game again, before you open your single player session, first connect and build something small on an official server. Don’t keep the build , just build and destroy. After this action open your single player session.
