Crossplay not working properly on servers

Bug Description:

I have two xboxs, one brand new, and one older tier; this game claims that there is a crossgen crossplay between the game, and me and my wife have been able to join the same games on official servers, but when we meet each other on the server, both of us appear offline/unconscious to each other.

I believe this to be a bug, because we can actually play together in crossgen crossplay if we choose to play in single-player mode; would love to see a solution to this, maybe it’s been overlooked. As you may know already in single player co-op the joining player can’t leave the hosts radius, and thralls don’t work while offline in single player, so playing together online would be the obvious choice.

We haven’t tried to take on bosses or build together yet, I might try to do that and see if we can just invisible-fight bosses together and share loot in a base together without actually seeing the other character, will post an update.

My wife and I are on Ps4 1tb about 5 and 4 years old. What I do understand is one console has to be the host/server so one would have to be online all the time to let the other to use it not sure how the tethering would work if only one person is on.
