I agree with Doom some of it anyway. The Boss, when I fought him, he could not one shot me but I have the perk you only take 33% damage in one hit. Without that perk, idk, he may.
I agree with FullMetalMadCat also, I think the dungeon itself is a bit glitchy. I don’t have the issues with the thralls anywhere I took them, except that dungeon.
I grabbed two, well more than two, put some in a box, Accursed fighters from surges I ran. I leveled them in vaults and for the final bit of leveling, we ran Warmakers. The thralls did very well, following fighting. I truly had no issues with them.
I was able to put really good armor on them, the wolf helmet Dragonvoid chest, ect. They were dressed properly I believe. I gave them stacks of the exquisite meal, for 12 points of healing and the strength buff. They were very strong.
I took them into the dungeon and they did get stuck several places prior to going to the Dragon. The Treasure seekers and the Foreman, weren’t any trouble I had him almost dead even with the Authority build when the thralls finally decided to show up and engage. I knew I could not do the dragon or the Keeper with an authority build. I am not that good at fighting, and to be honest, my fingers are so sore and still tired today, so I wont be going in today at all. That dungeon is hard on me.
I enjoy the challenge, when I fought the keeper solo, I lasted about 20 minutes until my fingers got tired I hit the wrong button and death followed. lol I did try again solo, but did worse.
When I toook the thralls in… which I spent 1 day getting them, 2 full days and a partial leveling them, not to mention the resources for the armor and the legendary weapons I gave them. They did not follow well in that dungeon. It’s true. And when we got to the dragon, I told the thralls to attack… they looked like they were going to attack, but acted like they could not see the dragon. So I creeped closer slightly. Told them to attack… same thing, they acted like they could not see the dragon. So I creeped closer. The dragon detected me, and started for me, I sent the thralls, they rushed toward the dragon… no engagement yet… the dragon ran over the top of them, knocking them through the floor and they both disappeared. I of course died because I stood there with my mouth open I’m sure.
I think the difficulty would not be as big of a problem for people if the dungeon itself was not so glitchy. Losing thralls you have spent so much time and energy leveling and outfitting properly, I mean both turned out at about 5k HP and were hitting like trucks. Having them fall through the floor was pretty devistating.
So after all of that… old man ramble lol… I think the Boss himself is cool and I will continue to fight the SOB, not sure I will ever kill him, but I like the mechanics he uses, keeps you on your toes. I think the dragon, which first time he shot blue fireballs, I almost froze, it was cool. The dungeon, itself I think is the biggest problem.
I never mind dying, I am pretty used to it, I have almost 10,000 hours in this game. Dying is part of it. But dying to dungeon glitches and losing good thralls to bad collision is just frustrating, not challenging, not fun, not rewarding.
As for the reward for doing the dungeon, I think the legendary repair is a meager reward for a dungeon posing that much risk… however, the combat with the Keeper, is worth doing the dungeon for in and of itself.
I will be letting my fingers rest today, but rest assured I will figure out a way, hopefully, that I can kill that Keeper. I no longer trust the dungeon with thralls so, I’m kind of back to the drawing board.
