So for some reason, items on my land decayed. My pen, stable, furnace, etc. Items I recently made maybe not even a week ago. Not my house though, that’s still fine which is odd, because it was there before these items. I didn’t log in for own day and there was a server shutdown, and the items when into the decay timer and actually decayed. I wasn’t far from my base as I was on it, and on top of that, I lost tier 4 thralls because of it. It’s annoying and frustrating because the decay timer should not have even started when it’s been just one day since I’ve been on.
Were the tables outside your base by any chance? Items have their own decay timer which can be viewed with a repair hammer (If you didn’t know). A single item can decay in less than an hour in some cases.
They were outdoor, but it’s odd because I’ve had pens and stables at the bottom of a mountain before at my old base that never decayed. And the pen was a t1 that time. I’ll definitely invest in the hammer though because is was extremely odd to me that it happened like that. Everything I had at this new base was directly next to it and newly built.
If you put your benches and stuff on foundations that are tied to your main base you have a better chance of resetting your decay timer all at once. And as mentioned above a repair hammer is essential you can use it to not only check decay but also stability when building larger buildings to determine where you need to ad extra support. You can use to check out your neighbors building to see if they are about to fall down and get your self some extra loot.
Well I’ll definitely try the hammer, I’ve never actually used it before because I never came across this problem, but if it can avoid things like this happening, then I’ll do that for sure.
