happens at the volcano boss fight

Server was running fine until I started the final encounter in the Volcano Dungeon. After the first wave of ghosts the server crashes every time. (Tested 3 times just to make sure)

Thank you for the crash logs - I’ll make sure to get eyes on them.

A friend and I tested it about four times. Every time we started the volcano boss fight, shortly after the first wave of ghosts, the server would crash. We ended up skirting the room in order to avoid the crash so we could still get our recipes.

In addition, my server has been having intermittent crashes ever since the most recent hotfix. Never crashed once before that.

Edit: Changing the ‘restrict purge time’ check box from enabled to disabled immediately crashed the server as well.

maybe you have an idea what we can do so long to prevent people from killing that specific boss?

Since it is kinda impossible to prevent every single player from going into the vulcano dungeon… my server got crashed now a couple of times from players who don’t read what you post them about Do NOT do’s…

I can now either keep the server turned off or do what else?

My dedicated server seems to crash whenever somebody attempts to put a thrall in the wheel of pain. Only a few people online and there’s always somebody that said that’s what they were doing when the crash occurred. Doesn’t seem to happen always but its becoming more and more frequent.

Edit: Spawned a new wheel of pain and put somebody on it and it worked fine. Guess it has something to do with wheels of pain that have been around for awhile.

So, now I have had Rock_1 which is pretty much everything that is not held drop it, an insulated ceiling placement, a foundation, and a spawned in item from an Admin.

My server is dropping about 4x within an 8 hour period, which is going to make it incredibly difficult to keep a player base. I can also let the devs know which tables I have merged into the DB with the mods.

I can force my server to crash by having anyone connected to simply log out. A player leaving my server will crash it. I’d post the entire log but it’s over 1000 lines long and until we can get a response or request from Funcom to submit the logs, I don’t know that there’s any point to that.

Same issue here. It seems a problem related to wheels or capturing thralls. Also it happens to us in Seppemeru area.

Yup server will crash 100% of the time you put a thrall on it. Tested three times lost three named thralls. Super happy about this. <.<

Here’s the last seconds of log from our latest crashes. Some of them seem to be related to game clients or mods getting “corrupted” somehow. We managed to repeatedly get a server to crash for doing various things including but probably not limited to logging out, clicking the recreate button or creating a completely new character. After he reinstalled his full client and all of our mods (880454836, 877108545, 896237988 and 1391805405) there have been no crashes with him online so far.

Since the log shows the IP address of those who logged out right before the server crashed I wonder if it’s possible to get the IP addresses of everyone logged in at a given moment and assign them to their character names and/or Steam IDs. This would greatly help us isolating who else might suffer from the same issue.
Edit: Managed to link the IP addresses to the players SteamID via login message earlier in the log.

Interesting. That’s one hell of an issue if that was indeed the cause.

What’s really unfortunate is the game is enormous and reinstalling isn’t a quick matter for lots of folks.

Still yet, definitely worth a shot. Anyone else tried this?
