For the first few days everyone was excited for unreal 5 now servers are gone back to low numbers. So many people dont have the money to buy comps to play it with unreal 5 . The devs should have kept old servers made them legacy and offer people to it for free or charge a monthly fee. You made the graphics better at what cost? I have watch many quit now who love the game. I even priced out new comps and with this tarrif bs going on computers have almost tripled in cost. So tell me devs was it worth it?
IT WAS ,
the onky thing that most people need to upgrade is the grqphics , and a 4060 will do wonders for this game even with 10 yeqr old cpus
I gotnone comluter with a 7820x intel cpu , 32 gbs pf ram and in that pc i gave ot a rtx 4060 and ir worka reqlly well at 2k resolution
You put a 4060 in a 10 year old comp and everything is fine/ i call bs.
You need to upgrade your mother board as well.
In today’s economy not everyone has the money to even buy a 4060 video card. The devs could have easily kept legacy servers and make money off the bazaar. Not everyone has a extra 700 to buy a video card. But they could have said fine we will keep legacy charge 15 a month and people could play. People thought alot more new things would come out with ue5 but no just the graphics changed. So the ones who have computers just good enough to play ue4 got left behind.
Just take the $15 a month you suggested and set it aside to save for a new graphics card
no you dont. there is certainly some benefits for newer pcie standard (higher bandwith) , but a x299 chipset runs it just fine. even with a 10 year old pc, it works really well,
An Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 on Amazon US typically costs between \(\$299\) and \(\$350\), depending on the specific model, cooling configuration, and factory overclocking. Basic models generally start at MSRP, while premium versions from manufacturers like MSI or Gigabyte are on the higher end of that spectrum
not sure but based on how much he thinks videocards costs, he probably lives in a very remote island in the pacific.
the other thing, is you dont undertand how this works, keeping both legacy and enhanced means there needs to be another team of people just to handle that version of the game, it also means costs… its either one or the other, and apparently funcom and partners decided to go for the enhanced.
ideally it would be good to keep some legacy serverts and provide just basic critical bugfixing as in consoles, but i do undertand why they decided to put legacy on maintanance mode.
IT WAS,
I’m running Enhanced on my 9 year old CPU and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 and its doing great.
i agree with you but also agree that if they charged 15.00 to keep legacy they would make money on that plus the bazaar.
that means changing conan exiles to become a subscription game, because a one time 15 bucks plus the bazaar considering population has split on pc, i believe considering the ammount of people on enhandced , (its far greater than legacy)
so if you havent start saving money
for that video cared
I don’t think it matters what your pc is like right now. The lag is so bad, I can’t really do anything even with a really good setup
It’s funny, if you look on older posts, people were begging for an engine upgrade, and now some still complain after they actually did it 7 years or so later. You cannot please anyone. Currently 32k players are in game according to steam data, which is a whole lot more than in the last few years which were around 9-10k peak daily.
You can still play the legacy version of the game, you go into steam → right click on the game → Properties → Game versions & Betas → choose conan-exiles-legacy.
Yes you cannot play the official servers, but there are still private servers. I’ve been playing for many years and I don’t know why anyone wants to play on official servers, they were ALWAYS bad or at least MOST of the time.
For people that complain about the official servers but are playing solo most of the time I really don’t see the problem, maybe they just talk BS for no reason.
Final note: Yes, the engine upgrade is not perfect, but it clearly made the game a whole lot more popular, and hopefully devs will fix most of the pressing issues.
I put a RTX 5070 in 11 year old computer; 48fps with stuff on Ultra.
I’m running the enhanced version with an RTX 3080 with everything maxed and everything’s fine.
We have different experiences with the game.
You can go buy an amd6000 series gpu and play just fine. They are really cheap and dx12 ready.
I agree with you.
My PC is running a GTX 1080 and I can still play on max settings. Yes at 30 frames but thats no different than playing on console.
Hey! i posted info like that on another thread and got called a liar.
You, fortunately , are not a liar.

People hate fact, don’t they?
You can tell what ever you want that ppl don’t have money and other things, Player numbers shows opposite what you are talking about. Player count haven’t been that high from the Launch of Conan
