Disappearing scrolls

Scrolls tend to disappear under certain conditions. One is upon death. Another is when they’re stored in a chest and the player picks up the chest without taking the scrolls out of it first. This bug applies both to lore scrolls (e.g. Razma’s Journal or Salaceo’s Instructions) and Esoteric Library scrolls.

Steps to reproduce vanishing scrolls upon death:

1. Pick up a scroll
2. Remove bracelet.
3. Go to the corpse.
4. Open the corpse’s inventory.

Steps to reproduce vanishing scrolls from chests:

1. Open the chest inventory.
2. Transfer the scroll to the chest.
3. Close the chest inventory.
4. Long-press action (E) button on the chest and select “Pick Up”.
5. Open the player’s inventory.

In both cases, the scroll isn’t in the inventory.

I’ve had the vanishing scrolls from chests thing several times. I have a vague recollection that Hugo or Ignasis may have already raised it with the Devs, but I’ll have to dig up the reference…

I haven’t tested these, but it would explain why so many scrolls are missing from my soft-raid of an abandoned base.
