Bug Description:
Discrepancy between purges - This is less a bug i think than just something odd. I have 2 purge bases both handle level 10s fine but one is much simpler and lighter weight than the other. I’ve used both to run level 1’s to gather zeals quickly, routinely the lightweight purge gives me ~120 zeals before the commander appears, but the heavy weight purge gives more than double that. The lightweight one ends more quickly too, regardless of the level i trigger. Any thoughts?
That makes perfect sense. I’m curious how it determines that, head count, foundation count, within what radius, or the entire landclaim itself?
My lightweight purge has the coffer well away from the dumpers and archers in order to protect a world boss spawn below, so nothing is actually near the coffer.
I believe it checks every player and player-owned follower within render range.
Each wave that spawns can be affected or not affected by the player count or follower count in different ways. It is not possible to say how exactly the purge will be more difficult, as it varies for every wave, only that it will be.
Everything matters. Placeables, foundations, defensive mechanisms, thralls and how you reacted to the purge it self. For example killing the archers on the towers and the guards counts too.
But from my experience what counts most is the persons or thralls you have for assistance. A lvl 10 purge alone lasts really fast but it’s very very hard.
Thanks very much for the replies. I’ve built a simple purge using a feature of the landscape and slowly moved more and more archers in, it noticeably lengthened as I went.
It also kicks butt fast, I had to remove dumpers so the purge could progress far enough to continue.
