I just destroied by accident an pen full of training thralls, I dont get even the materils or the thralls back, fun an ? I saw also thousands of players complaining about this, just take a look on how other games do this, like ark, that have an timer in the radial menu or some confirmation etc, its very easy to fix, and the impact on the player experience is huge.
