If I buy and play the expansion, do I need to disable and/or uninstall all of my mods?

No but if your mods add npcs that you need to interact with you are gonna have to spawn them yourself in admin mode

Just check your mods in the Steam workshop. If they are updated after September 15 then they’re OK. Most of the mods I use work on the Isle of Siptah (Emberlight, LBPR and some more).
