I would think loremasters would be all over the implications of the eclipse and its relative location in the sky on EL and Siptah…
It’s still the same planet. Same sun, same moon. So if a wizard messes with the cosmic forces, the effects should be world-wide.
Of course, having no night means Kurak has messed with the planet’s orbit or tilt or something equally wild, which should have some more dramatic consequences than updated lighting conditions…
Or maybe it’s just an illusion. It seems (based on what we can do with our sorcery bench) Kurak was big into illusions. Although, if it’s not an illusion, Mek-Kamoses is most likely right and Kurak’s grand plan is going to break things a lot.

i can see quite well during the night periods in siptah, try adding some lighting to your base and you will be able to see fine.
Yes, which is why I specified that “if a wizard messes with cosmic forces”, rather than try to explain it with science.
Lore-wise, the Isle of Siptah is on the way to the Exiled Lands, so it’s also possible that a natural eclipse would be visible to both at the same time. But without knowing the exact geography we can’t be sure.

While I do love the eclipse, I think the op has a point. No storyline, no eclipse. They should go together.
