Don’t remove this just because people have outdated devices such as a low spec pc or are on the original PS4 STILL even when pro and 5 are a HUGE OPTION and has huge benefits. Don’t let whining about oh the lag ruin something so fun and interesting. Do this now you mine as well cave in to all lag whining complainers want lag? Come back during the days of rubber band ropes or invisible enemies this is a huge mistake another one funcom don’t remove, tweak and adjust or tell others to get a better device and hardware!!

the performance issues are not primarely because of low end devices…something along the line has been stated by the devs and other players here.
In other words, it ain’t getting removed because PS4 can’t handle it. Plenty of PS4 user having no issues apparently.
Also, if it was just an optimisation issue, they would “optimise” it, not delete it. Apparently devs have other plans. I hope they are reworking it at a later date.

It is actually a demonstable performance problem regardless of hardware. It was tested ad nauseum by the player community and determined as such.
A modder even created a mod to remove it.

If only they would simply remove it from the PC version of the game or make it so that the fortress can be toggled by the admin. I play using a PS5 on our private server without the fortress presenting any issues. The fortress is one my favorite things to do in the Exiled Lands. The PC players are the ones that post the most performance issue posts here on this forum and on reddit.

It doesn’t seem to affect our server. Be nice if they left an option to leave it on.

If you’re playing solo or running your own server you can roll back to whatever version you want using the Steam console. Takes a bit of time to download, a bunch of drive space, and a little effort setting it up but it’s not hard to do. Here’s a starter for ya:

I’m not going to miss it, always wished they had never added it in the first place. I’m playing an older version (pre-sorcery) right now anyway so I don’t even have that on my map. 
make it like the siptah ones, small like my manhood.
Yeah, I can’t say I’ll miss it either. It’s a cool idea, but if it’s causing too many performance issues that can’t be reasonably ironed out, I’m ok with it going away.
