Effects of Corruption

I know the higher the corruption you acquire, the more it takes away your health and your stamina, but what if it did worse than that?
What if it takes away your stat points one by one? Your stat bar will slowly be taken over by a purple bar, just like your HP and Stamina.
It’ll start off harmless. But when you get light Corruption, your stats will start to be decreased by 1, starting with lowering stat bonuses, or if you have none, it’ll reduce the base stats. Slowly, more exposure will cause more of a threat.
Slowly it’ll reduce your stats by 2, or 3, and at Medium Corruption, your stats will be reduced by 5.
At this point, it’ll start to reduce your stats even more, and a little faster as well.
But heavy corruption will be where it starts to really become an issue. You’ll be reduced by 10, or even more. At this state, every couple seconds your stats will plummet by a massive amount.
You’ll become much more susceptible to damage and die much easier. When you respawn, you’ll be hunched over like you’re low on health.
You can do this before or after you’re exposed to corruption. You can find a vendor in Sepermeru that sells Corruption Antidotes for 10 Gold Coin. It’ll quickly start to relieve you of Corruption, and help your resistance to it. This can last for an hour.
Thoughts?

The idea seemed relatively unbalanced until you got to how extreme corruption would work, constant stat loss is a bit overkill, especially at that fast of a rate, considering your carry limit would drop quite fast, limiting movement to walking with just a decently sized inventory and making things much more treacherous. There’s also the fact you would lose perks as a result of this, again making things far more dangerous.

Although I think rather than there being a vendor selling these potions (since there’s the tavern in Sepermeru where you can remove your corruption thanks to the dancers there), make the potions craftable, but make the materials not so easy to find.
