I guess most people will play single-player or on private servers, where the main current problem—lag—is eliminated.
The rest will be masochists like me who try to play it in the turn-based strategy mode that the official servers are currently running.

Speak for yourselves , ive been playing all week across 11 PVE official servers- nothing i cant manage.

Funcom/Inflexion knows since they have the logs of my playtime.

Guess they don’t need console players at all then.

And I’m going to assume “manageable” is doing some heavy lifting there.

Knowing is not doing something about it, and if it’s manageable why should they?

None the less I expect the peak to be higher today. Conan has not seen these numbers since 2018.

So if I just refresh the base (don’t tell me you’re actively playing on 11 servers at once), farm a little here and there, or build something, then it’ll be “manageable”

but try playing really actively on the official server during prime time with thralls, and you’ll really see that something’s wrong
and—out of consideration for others on the server—I haven’t even tried turning on the purge yet, because given how it affected the server in the past, nobody would be able to play at that moment

That ping is a lie. They fudged the math so people can log in to servers regardless of how bad the servers are lagging. Yes that is the the ping to the server, did not solve server lag.

Right now I can show you what the ping is to the server i play on, I still can’t connect because the server is lagging so badly. I got bumped, I think I was in a safe place; I certainly hope I was because I can’t get back on.

28k online is a bit misleading. Dont you think? If we are to take your screenshot at face value as “proof everything is fine” then I guess that means only 84 people are playing on official. And there are only 11 official servers? Pretty sure the majority is either single player or on private servers. BTW even some private servers are having issues too. Inflextion and GPortal have made announcements that it is being worked on. So forgive me if I “press X to doubt” that you are having a perfectly “manageable” experience. And in the very VERY small off-chance that you are. Try to remember that you are not the main character here. Conan is. Just because you dont perceive the problems that clearly many MANY people are, doesnt mean they dont exist.

One of the kids is having issues- but thats because the laptop is crap. LOL!

While it’s s a sample size of one I tried a random private server last night that has no mods, was at 80 ping which is very good for me and had 21 of 40 players. It was the same laggy, rubberbanding mess that official servers are at prime time. Suppose I should have asked but I have no idea who the server provider is.

What part of that ping you see in the server list is just the ping to the server, previous that number was also the server health, as in how badly the server is lagging. What you see now is irrelevant to server health, as in how bad it is lagging and it has 0 to do with anyone’s rig.

It’s about getting butts on the server for the count, not for our enjoyment of the game. The server still lags just as bad with 20 or more on.

True. But i have been monitiring Infkexions team onMod discord, and how Dana has been pretty active onhere. Maube by getting the player count up they can gather the necessary datsla so theu hopefully can trace optimization options. Just a thought.

Jist looked at the month by Month averages. If this month finishes on it current 30 Day average (meaning some of the data if from pre Enhanced April…6 days of the time at about 6,000 per day) it can be the best full month average at just over 22000+. Competing with Full Release and Dec 2022 at 21000+. Pretty good for a game going into it 9th full release year. Right now itvisb18000+ for last 30 days.

Im playing officials everyday - 7 days a week.

You keep telling yourself it isnt the rig. Keep telling yourself it isnt crappy ISPs/ Once server loads get to 15 people or higher there are issues and have been for a long time now. Funcom and Inflexion know it.

My worry is the opinion those numbers are walking away with. A game this old can be resurrected or buried deeper by opinions.

When everyone on the server is complaining about the lag, and the forums are flooded with posts saying the same thing, having the same issue, on new rigs with new GPUs, I know it isn’t my rig. You all need to get over that. I know that is the only way your narrative works, but when I read several posts by people with new rigs and 50 series nvidas having the same issues,

it’s not my rig.

Despite peoples claims otherwise because it is the only way their narrative works, I know the difference between my brick lagging and the server lagging. And I have died to server lag enough of late to know the difference.

Sure man ill keep playing and testing. Ive got reports lined up of issues in game unrelated to this thread.

Ill take my gameplay and experience off this thread and create my own.
