it appears a default position has been implemented for elevators. Its a no for me, i put up two elevators in areas where the ride is long and its pointless when they are always up when i log in. if a default position is necessary, make it in the down position because i can scale down anyways.

Completely agree with this… It would be great to be able to set your own default position, similar to enable/disable of door auto closing
