So @stelagel mentioned I should share these. The idea is that we’re faced with some issues right now where we got grass poking through foundations. That doesn’t have to be a bad thing. In fact, I actually quite like it at times. My builds are often rustic, pirate shanty towns and what not. That being said, the grassy elements really compliment the feel. Now I know what you’re thinking, this will get patched and we won’t have that option anymore. Wrong. All you have to do is use fence foundations and ceiling tiles. That’s what I’ve done for much of my building.

Thanks… it was done with my clanmate. Though my intention wasn’t necessarily to show off my build lol… it was more showing the concept in context. I think so often we go “stupid grass!” But this is a good opportunity to experiment with the more nature-based and rustic builds. I kinda get tired of seeing castle after castle. Castles and fortresses are nice and all, but they’re a bit cliche and of course we don’t like those to have a rustic feel. Though, to be perfectly honest, why not? It adds character. I was actually opposed to grass before this initial build, but it didn’t line up exactly how I wanted, so I embraced it and ran with it.

First off all, gorgeous build.
This one is of mixed feelings about grass poking through.
For materials like flotsam, rough timber, and sandstone, it looks great. Perfect rustic look and concordant with the tightness (or lack thereof) in those sets.
But then there are the green baldrs poking through black ice and storm glass and all the pandas are sad.
Making it a toggle, or tier dependent would likely be a pain in the posterior.

Yeah, I agree it should be patched. I only meant it’s a good opportunity to experiment with new styles than write it off completely. All one has to do is use ceilings rather than foundations.

Lol my clanmate’s been waiting for them. Lavender is her favorite color, going so far as to name her horse that and make all her outfits that color!
