Enemies added in 2.4 don't face player during combat

I noticed that some of the enemies added by the latest patch don’t seem to face me during combat. They seem stuck facing a single direction, possibly their initial direction.
If you circle around them, they run at you in reverse. Melee characters are pretty much unable to harm you because of this. Archers will still magically fire arrows out of their backs, but will also not face you. This is true for at least the grey ones, babboons and the bulky humanoids (don’t know their name)


Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Approach a grey ones camp
  2. get one or more of them to attack you
  3. circle around to their backs
  4. watch them flail about as you pick them off one by one since they can’t seem to hit you as they run towards you backwards and attack facing away from you.
  5. profit!

Yes, this issue occur on my environment too.

Just to make clear, do you use some mods in your singleplayer game ?

I fought the grey-ones just fine with my thrall yesterday, had no backwarders around me.

(no mods used here)

While I usually play with mods, for testing I started a fresh game without any mods and saw this behavior.

That’s an odd one. Thanks for sharing your findings with it. We’ve sent it to our team to see if we can replicate this NPC shyness on our end.
