I really should try to get used to sword and board again - it’s not a move set I really enjoy, so I tend not to use it - but it’s always good to work on all weapons, even the ones that aren’t favourites
I spent far too many hours carefully building on the Weeping Ruins (the old broken building near the siege) and trying to get all the walls lined up with the rubble. All just so my followers would have a nice place to wait
But I don’t use it for levelling them, just put them on guard there. (Last time I tried that trick, my pet rabbit Harvey teleported to me in the middle of a fight and things suddenly got a lot more complicated trying to protect him, lol - I did manage to get us out of there, but it was quite the adventure getting him home again
).
Sorcery would be a good way to deal with getting home, but I don’t use it. I wanted sorcery added for the people that always wanted it, but it never interested me (I quite like the way they have implemented it, but I’m a barbarian…).
I might have to try it that way
- I’ve done the breaking the back wall trick - worked ok once, second time I guess I got lag or something - the wall went down and immediately all three guys were in the gap and hit me before I could get the ram away (I spent a lot of time running in circles trying to get the fight back under control - I also didn’t have a sheild, lol.)
Overall, I thought the seige was a nice idea, but definitely more for people who want PVP style play (obviously, it’s not the same as PVP, but, at least solo, it seems to be based around the same skills).
